Welcome to the online home of Bath Dolphin Swimming Club. We are a friendly club with around 300 members offering a range of swimming opportunities from learn to swim to competition level.
The club has been around for some time now, having been founded in 1899, and we are justifiably proud of our heritage.
Our Learn to Swim programme is centred around the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming which provides the swimmer with the opportunity to progressively develop a broad range of skills and abilities.
Squad swimmers represent the club in the National Arena League and Southern Junior League. Swimmers who qualify are supported by the club at the District & National Age Groups and Championships. We offer opportunities to compete at open meets as well as

inter-club galas and our own Club Championships, which are held twice a year.
We are a Swim 21 accredited Club and affiliated to Somerset County ASA, South West Region & the Amateur Swimming Association.
Bath Dolphin is one of the participating clubs which feed into the Aquae Sulis Swimming Club. An outline of this programme and the opportunities it provides can be found using this link.
For new swimmers joining the club it is important that they are placed in a group which matches their ability and for this reason if you are interested in joining us we would look for you to undertake a short assessment.
For those who can swim a length or more assessments are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm at Bath Sports & Leisure Centre. Assessments for non-swimmers or those who can only complete a short distance take place on the first Friday in the month at 7pm at Kingswood School Pool. To arrange an assessment for either session please contact Sue Woolley on the number above.
