We have introduced the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming for our Learn to Swim programme. This enables all swimmers to gain the necessary abilities and skills to develop their swimming stroke and technique effectively and efficiently and to discover other aquatic activities that they may enjoy.
As part of the National Teaching Plan, criteria are set out for a number of levels. Once each level of the plan is completed, the swimmer will gain an award of a certificate and a badge for that level. Following the completion of that level the swimmer will move to the next level subject to a place being available.
