County Championships - Sessions 3 & 4

Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, Weston-super-Mare, Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st February 2010

Saturday and Sunday saw the continuation of the County Championships with the proceedings moving to the familiar surroundings of Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, Weston-super-Mare. With competition across all age categories as fierce as ever, the Dolphin squad rose to the challenge and returned from the weekend with a total of six age group podium medals and two Youth Finalist medals together with a host of Club records, ASASW Qualifying times and PB’s.

The age group medal winners from the weekend were Isabelle McNab, Tom Smith and Liam O’Sullivan whilst Rebecca Cornish and Chloe O’Sullivan picked up Youth Finalist medals.

The list below shows all the swimmers who gained top eight placings over the weekend:-

Girls

Isabelle McNab - (Girls 9 years old) 100m IM 4th, 200m Breaststroke 3rd

Rosie Granger - (Girls 9 years old)  100m IM 6th, 200m Breaststroke 4th

Esmee Charley - (Girls 12 years old) 400m Freestyle 8th

Chloe O’Sullivan - (Girls 16-17 years old) 400m Freestyle 4th, 100m Butterfly 8th (Youth Final 6th)

Rebecca Cornish - (Girls 16-17 years old) 100m Backstroke 5th (Youth Final 5th)

Boys

Jasper Lye - (Boys 11 years old) 400m Freestyle 5th

Tom Smith - (Boys 12 years old) 100m Breaststroke 2nd, 100m Backstroke 1st, 200m Backstroke 1st, 400m Freestyle 1st

Max Granger - (Boys 12 years old) 100m Backstroke 4th, 200m Backstroke 6th

Liam O’Sullivan (Boys 17-18 years old) 400m Freestyle 3rd.
