The girl swimmer of the month for March 2009 is Georgia Higson. Georgia has been with us for a couple of years and has shown a dedication to training that is quite remarkable. She turns up to almost every single session and has steadily improved all aspects of her swimming. Always concentrating and quietly getting on with the session, this is a common theme with all previous winners! Well done Georgia and keep up the good work. (faster arms Georgia!)
The boy swimmer of the month goes not to a boy but to a girl! The second girl swimmer of the month goes to Natasha Thornton. We are disappointed that there wasn’t a boy who shone brightly enough during March, but it means we can recognise a girl who has improved hugely and shown an increased appetite for her training. This has resulted in a great improvement in her technique and more especially her stamina. Gala’s are fast approaching and we look forward to her performances there. We have always thought she has great potential and now she is beginning to show this! Excellent work Natasha keep it up! (We think you could now probably beat your dad over 25m fly!)
To all junior squad swimmers, enjoy the break and be ready for some hard work on Tuesday 14th !!
