Graham Cutting Gala Results
Bath Sports & Leisure Centre, Friday 2nd July 2010
The Graham Cutting Memorial Gala is renowned within the club for providing a format that is popular with both swimmers and spectators alike. All events are raced over a distance of 50m and the quickfire programme gives the opportunity for those in the pool to race in all disciplines whilst those in the gallery are treated to hotly contested sprint racing. The short race format also provides the ideal opportunity for some of the younger club members to gain their first experience of competitive racing.
Entry numbers this year were as high as ever and the quality of racing didn’t fail to impress. In total there were five new event best times set during the course of the evening. These new best times were achieved by Tom Smith in the 12/13 year boys breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle & backstroke and Jasper Lye in the 9/10/11 year boys breaststroke.
Many thanks to all the coaches, teachers, parents and helpers who assisted at the event and helped to ensure that things ran as smoothly as ever.
