Klaas van de Pol
Vice President Sadly Passes Away
It is with sadness that we report the death in Holland of one of our Vice President's Klaas van de Pol.
Klaas was asked to become Vice President of the club back in the 1960's, after one
of the visits the club had made to Bath's twin city of Alkmaar. He was always aware
of the club's activities etc as he was sent the Annual Report each year and always
responded to the Treasurer after receipt of the report. He was a former President
of FINA and had been seen on the television presenting medals at many an international
event.
His passing will be a sad loss for the Alkmaar Swimming Club and our thoughts are
with them at this time.
