Graham Cutting Gala Results
Bath Sports & Leisure Centre, Friday 3rd July 2009
Once again the annual Graham Cutting Memorial Gala proved to be a popular event for both swimmers and spectators. On the night, competitor numbers approached one hundred with both the boys and girls 11 years and under events being swum in four heats. Congratulations are due to all the swimmers who treated the busy spectator gallery to some highly entertaining and competitive racing which saw a total of eight event best times and five club records being broken.
The Championship Best Times were gained by Tom Smith (4nr) in the 12/13 year boys events, Chloe Parnell (2nr) in the girls 16 and over freestyle and butterfly, Rebecca Cornish in the girls 16 and over backstroke and Ollie Littlewood in the boys 16 and over breaststroke.
The new Club records fell to Rosie Granger (9 year girls breaststroke and butterfly), Tom Smith (12 year boys breaststroke and butterfly and Rebecca Cornish in the 16 year girls freestyle..
As ever a big thankyou is due to all the coaches, teachers, parents and helpers who helped to make the event run as smoothly as ever.
