Swimmer of the Month Awards for May
The girl swimmer of the month for May 2009 is Isabelle McNab. Isabelle has established herself as a very important member of the squad, a very gifted swimmer in all four strokes and with a steely determination to succeed in everything she does. Isabelle recently swam a club record in the 25m Butterfly and won the 25m Backstroke race in the first of the club galas. As with all the previous award winners Isabelle works extremely hard every session, quickly and quietly completing the exercises. Isabelle has taken this into her competitions and her performances this year have shown dramatic improvements. Well done Isabelle a very worthy winner of this award. We look forward to your swims in the forthcoming galas and to more club records!
The boy swimmer of the month goes to Alex Morriss. Alex has been with the squad for a relatively short period but has shown great improvement in all strokes and his speeds. Always ready to listen, to take on board instructions and put them into effect in the water. At the recent summer gala Alex competed well in the Butterfly and Backstroke setting new personal bets in both. We are sure Alex will continue his marked improvement and look forward to even faster swims in the near future! Well done indeed Alex.
