Swimmer of the Month Awards for October
For the girls the award goes to Jessica Joseph. Jess is one of our senior swimmers and has been with us for just under a year. From the start Jess showed excellent technique, particularly in her graceful front crawl stroke, although Jess would probably agree that she took a little while to appreciate the requirement to sprint in short distance races. But sprint she can as she showed in a fantastic swim as the anchor leg for the 10 years girls medley relay team at Bristol North, the girls just missing out on a podium finish. Well done Jess. Keep up the good work.
For the boys the award goes to William Darvill. William has quietly gone about his
training to the extent that a marked improvement has resulted in both his stroke
technique and his stamina. Like Jess, William excelled as the anchor leg of the 9
years boys freestyle relay team where this time the boys deservedly brought home
the gold medal -
And good luck to all those swimming in the winter gala. Don’t forget all that you have been practising over the past few weeks.
